Long time, no guida!

 Olá a todas! :)
Sim, eu sei. Tenho andado desaparecida. A faculdade e as pseudo férias estão a dar-me cabo do sistema! E visto que raramente tenho saído de casa não tenho nada de interessante para mostrar por aqui.
No entanto, dia 1 foi o meu aniversário (não, não vou dizer quantos anos fiz embora toda a gente saiba *suspira*) e recebi algumas prendinhas que merecem ser divulgadas por aqui.

Yes, i know. I've been MIA. School and this pseudo vacations are killing me! Since i rarely leave the house i don't have anything that interesting to show you guys here.

MAC To The Beach - Sweet and Punchy, Humid

Tal como muita gente, infelizmente tenho andado mal de finanças e não tenho feito muitas compras. No entanto, no outro dia passei pela MAC para comprar o meu fiel Blot Powder e não resisti a trazer uma sombra da colecção de verão To The Beach. Adoro sombras verdes e mal pus os olhos nesta não aguentei. Chama-se Sweet & Punchy e é um verde lima maravilhoso! E digam lá que a embalagem não é um miminho?

As many people, at the moment my finances are a bit down and unfortunately i haven't been shopping all that much. However, just the other day i went to MAC to restock on my faithful Blot Powder and i couldn't resist to one of the To The Beach eyeshadows. I love green eyehsadow and as soon as i saw it i was done. It's called Sweet & Punchy and it's a lovely lime green. Besides that, isn't the packaging lovely?








Só a meio caminho de casa é que me lembrei que já tinha uma cor muito semelhante a esta. Chama-se Sharp e saiu na palete Tempting com a colecção Cult of Cherry no Outono de 2008.
No entanto, embora estejam na mesma família de cores são bastante diferentes. A sombra Sweet & Punchy tem um acabamento ao qual a MAC dá o nome de Veluxe Pearl - sombras normalmente muito pigmentadas e suaves, com um brilho ligeiramente metálico -, ao passo que a Sharp tem um acabamento Satin - tal como o nome indica tem um acabamento acetinado, com um brilho subtil e não metalizado.

It was only when i was half way home that i remembered that i already owned a color that was similar to Sweet & Punchy and it was Sharp that came out with the Cult of Cherry colection in 2008.
The two shadows are indeed in the same color family but they difer in finish and in tone. Sweet and Punchy is a Veluxe Pearl - vibrant, velvety soft with a metallic shimmer - while Sharp is a Satin - Pure colour in a satin-style finish. Provides a soft subtle non-frost, light-refractive sheen.




Não comprei o outro verde que saiu com esta colecção - Humid - pois faz parte da colecção permanente e eu já o tinha. São dois verdes que se complementam muito bem e que ficam óptimos em olhos castanhos e verdes.

I didn't get the other green in the collection - Humid - because it's part of the permanent collection and i already own it.
These two greens complement each other really well and they'll look great both in green and brown eyes.

TAG Six things you don't know about me:

Tenho andado desaparecida daqui, eu sei e peço mil desculpas aos meus poucos, mas fiéis leitores. O trabalho da faculdade acumula-se e a vontade de não o fazer também mas visto que já são os últimos cartuchos tenho de fazer um esforço, por mais pequenino que seja.
De qualquer modo, hoje estou aqui para responder à tag que me foi deixada pela Inês [perfect drug] e pela Cátia [simple things of life] onde devo listar 6 coisas que não saibam sobre mim (por uma questão prática vou responder à tag somente em inglês):

I've been MIA lately, i know and apologize to my few, but loyal readers. College work is piling up and so is the will not to do it but since this is my last year i have to make one final effort, as little as it may be.
Anyway, today i'm here to respond to the "6 things you don't know about me" tag that was left by Inês [perfect drug] and Cátia [simple things of life]:

1. My favourite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. I guess i could relate that to my love for sea creatures...

2. I have a belly button piercing that i'm not that proud of. I got it when i was 13 and apparently that was cool at the time, or so i thought.

3. I have a deadly allergy to pine nuts and prunes.

4. I've had a number of paranormal experiences, some of them not so great. One that was kind of cool was when i was getting my tonsils removed. During the surgery i saw myself from the ceiling. It's not something that i can clearly explain, but it happened. Trust me.

5. I used to be a goth in my teenage years.

6. When I was little I used to play with my bellybutton. Now that's a weird fact isn't it? Well... I didn't play with it like that little boy in the "Shining" movie that talked to his finger, I used to like rubbing it for some weird reason. Then i had to have surgery because i developed 2 hernias.
Okay. Maybe i should shut up now.
